VitalNote Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026
Introduction
VitalNote ("the App," "we," or "our") is developed by Abdulrazaq Alonazi as a nursing education and study reference app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how we protect your privacy.
Information We Collect
- VitalNote does not require account registration for core features.
- Practice entries you create for study — such as sample vitals, quiz progress, or checklist states — are stored locally on your device unless a future optional sync feature is explicitly enabled by you.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Analytics and Diagnostics
- If analytics are enabled, we may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve features and reliability. You may opt out in Settings where available.
- Crash reports contain technical diagnostics only. They are not designed to transmit patient health information.
Your Responsibilities
- VitalNote is not a HIPAA-covered entity, business associate, electronic health record, or patient documentation system.
- Do not enter identifiable patient information (names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, photographs, or other PHI). Use fictional scenarios for practice only.
- You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy laws and your institution's policies if you choose to use the App in any professional setting.
Children's Privacy
- VitalNote is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Locally stored data remains on your device until you clear app storage or uninstall the App.
- Uninstalling VitalNote removes locally stored data from your device.
International Users
- If you use VitalNote outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
